    COB Solar Lights Review

The pack of two lights comes to be a real alternative to traditional outdoor lighting. The lights can be used for any public or private space which needs illumination as they come with a good light capacity. They will also work for larger buildings such as hotels or hospitals. If you plan to use them privately you can do so for various buildings such as houses or villas. The lights come with a waterproof design and this means you will be able to leave them outdoors even in the rain. With a durable construction which is based on aluminum and silicon solar panels, the lights will be able to work for the whole duration of the night.

    Features

    • Aluminum construction

    • Strong lighting mode and sensor lighting mode

    • 16 hours work time

    • 200 sensor actuations

    • Minimum coverage of 35 meters

    • Light and warm colors

    • 600 lumen

    Pros

    • Waterproof construction

    • Aluminum durability

    • Adjustability for all types of buildings

    Cons

    • Setup needs removal of base bracket

    Summary

The set comes with two versatile lights which can be used for a wider range of situations. They can be used for both public and private purposes and this means they are strong enough for all types of situations. For example, public uses might include the illumination of squares. In this situation, they can cover a minimum reach of 35 meters. Even more, they can work with larger buildings such as hospitals or touristic objectives such as castles. For private purposes, the lights can represent a good choice for houses or villas.

The interesting lighting options are basically down to two main choices. These include a sensor-based option and a continuous option. The sensor-based option only powers the lights when they detect motion. The continuous lighting mode will work uninterrupted for up to 16 hours when fully charged.

In terms of materials and construction quality, the lights come with an aluminum body and the capacity to work well in any weather condition. With a weatherproof design, the lights can be easily used for any outdoor purpose. Even more, they will prove to be a great purchase in terms of durability as the also come with a silicon solar panel which will harvest the light and convert it into electricity.

The LED lights are considered strong and they can work for the whole duration of the night at maximum capacity. This means they can be a great solution if you plan continuous illumination. But the lights can also represent a good choice when you plan to use a sensor-based solution which can work for surveillance purposes or simply to save energy through the night.

The only downside to the lights seems to be with the setup. The base bracket which attaches to the ground and holds the lights will most likely need to be removed to be secured to the ground first. You will then need to secure the light to the bracket afterward. But with a small weight, this doesn’t seem too complicated. A light only measures 5.3 pounds which makes them perfect for all types of uses.

    Comparison

When it comes to comparing the performance of the lights, it is only fair to do so with another versatile model which will also act well in terms of durability. When compared to the Lampat Solar Lights, the COB Solar Lights seem to be slightly more powerful.

Both designs are great in terms of durability and use in any type of weather. When it comes to the functioning modes, both designs come with two options. The continuous illumination option is paired with the motion-based illumination on both designs. Both designs use quality solar panels with a slight advantage for the Lampat design which uses a better technology. However, this advantage is soon overlooked by the fact that the lights only come with energy sufficient for 6 hours of use when compared to the 16 hours of use of the COB design. With a significant difference in lumen capacity, the COB lights will be geared towards larger scale use.

Choosing between these two designs will come down to the space you intend to illuminate. Thus, if you have a villa or a large space such as a square to illuminate, then the COB Solar Lights can be a good choice. If you want to illuminate smaller areas in similar conditions, then the Lampat Solar Lights can be the best choice.

    Verdict

The COB Solar Lights represent a top option for many types of users who want to ensure the illumination of large and very large buildings or open spaces. With a 600 lumen capacity and a top quality build, the lights represent a good option for all weather conditions and for most buildings as they can cover distances of up to 35 meters.

With a working time of up to 16 hours, they are hard to match when it comes to delivering light in the absence of sun for a long time. This recommends them as a serious option for larger scale use such as with large building as hotels or villas.

This illumination time is of course based on the continuous working mode. If you plan to use the lights with the motion-based mode, you can expect an illumination which can last up to 200 actuations or detections. This would also mean that during these 200 detections, the light would be activated for 30 seconds each time

The COB Solar Lights represent a top option if you need a powerful performance. The truth is that they are hard to match in this segment and interestingly they don’t come with too many compromises. As long as you don’t mind the extra step in the setup process, you can enjoy one of the most interesting experiences with warm or cold illumination. The powerful LEDs of the lights will work great with any large area or building and most importantly, they will be able to work up to 16 hours with a single solar charge.
